About us

Learn more about what WECO has achieved over the years. How it all started, what milestones we have already reached and where we are today.

1995

Foundation

WECO Software GmbH is at home where others go on holiday. In the beautiful Tyrol, in Austria, - all started in 1995. WECO was founded as a SAP consulting company and has been part of the SAP ecosystem from the very beginning.

2001

Specialization in E-Commerce

At the turn of the millennium there was also a very decisive turn at WECO. In the year 2001 the decision was made to completely specialize in consulting for SAP e-commerce. In the end, this early decision turned out to be excellent.

2004

Own Product

Three years later, in 2004, we took another decisive step forward. The experience gained in the e-commerce sector encouraged us to develop our own e-commerce solution especially for SAP ERP customers.

2006

First Go Lives with Sales & Service

After two years of intensive development and extensive testing, the time had come. In 2006, our first three customers went live with our own Sales & Service solution. A resounding success - all customers are still working with our solution today.

2008

WECO E-Commerce Procurement

Due to numerous requests, our solution has been extended to the field of purchasing. We were thus able to offer a product for the digitalization of purchasing processes at an early stage.

2010

WECO goes USA

Due to increasing demand in the USA, sales were expanded to the United States in 2010. An exclusive partnership with an American company enabled us to sell and implement our products in the USA.

2014

SAP Certification

In 2014, our entire product plate was certified by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC). A decisive advantage for the planning and investment security of our customers.

Today

Over 100 satisfied customers

We are constantly developing our solutions to meet the growing demands in the fast moving area of e-commerce. Meanwhile we can count more than 100 national and international companies among our customers, of which we are very proud.

Our Leadership Team

Wilfried Grutsch

CEO

Wilfried founded WECO in 1995 and has been the company's chief executive officer since the beginning. He played a key role in the development of all e-commerce products. Today, as product manager he is constantly introducing innovative ideas into product development.

Patrick Grutsch

CTO

Patrick’s career at WECO started already in 2012 during studying Business Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology. Since 2016 he is in charge of the technical department as CTO and passionately working on any technical challenges.
